Tucker

About the Neighborhood

The Tucker neighborhood, located in DeKalb County, is a historic community first established in the early 1900s. It is bordered by the City of Stone Mountain to the south east, Gwinnett County to the north, and Interstate 285 to the west.

The Tucker neighborhood has a rich history and is known for its tight-knit community feel, convenient location, and affordable housing options. In fact, the neighborhood was listed as one of the “Best Places to Live” in Atlanta by Atlanta Magazine in 2016.

The Tucker neighborhood is home to various businesses and restaurants and is also served by the Tucker MARTA station, which makes it easy to get around town.

When it comes to Tucker real estate, variety is easily noticed in the established neighborhoods. Early to mid-nineteenth century ranches, split levels, and bungalows are popular in this community.  Townhomes, condominiums and modern houses in swimming and tennis communities are becoming more popular in newer construction in the areas.
